This page explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on Zambia Travel Guide. Zambia Travel Guide is responsible for this website. Questions: info@zambiatravelguide.net.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work; others are used to count visits or are set by third-party services that a page includes.
Cookies and similar technologies on this site
- Essential site cookies. The site runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, which may set session and preference cookies needed for the site to function. We do not sell products or take payments on this site.
- Visit statistics. Jetpack Stats counts page views using a small script from stats.wp.com.
- Embedded maps. The map on accommodation pages is embedded from Stay22; Stay22 may set its own cookies when it loads.
- Fonts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. This connects your browser to Google but is not used by us to track you.
- Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to distinguish visitors and sessions, so we can measure visits, pages read and clicks on availability and outbound links.
When you follow a booking or availability link
Links to check availability take you to Stay22 and the booking platforms it links to, or to Viator. Those sites set their own cookies, including cookies that record that you arrived from Zambia Travel Guide so that a booking can be attributed to us. Their cookie policies apply once you are on their sites.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies set by third-party services will not stop you reading this guide.
Changes
We update this page when the services the site uses change.
