Liuwa Plain

Liuwa Plain accommodation is limited to a handful of camps and some basic public campsites. The park’s draw is the wildebeest migration, which builds with the first rains from late October and peaks from late November into December — the opposite of normal safari timing, and the hardest time of year to reach the place. A high-clearance 4×4 is not optional.
